Joanne Shaw (FRSA)

Born 1974, Castleford, West Yorkshire. Studied Graphic Design at Wakefield College. Full time artist for over ten years. Hard Rock Café International USA purchased five original portraits of rock stars. Commissioned by Bel-Air Hotel, Los Angeles, to paint a portrait of Prince Charles for his fiftieth birthday. Presented same to HRH personally.

A portrait of INXS singer Michael Hutchence inspired the singer's family to set up a foundation in his memory to help disadvantaged children around the world. This painting by Joanne is used to raise funds and awareness of the foundation. The singer Anastacia endorsed a portrait Joanne painted of her and it was used to raise money for the Breast Cancer appeal organised by 'You' magazine.

Joanne works in oils on canvas and has fast gained an international reputation. One discerning collector in America has twenty of her works.
